Hi,
Weekend had arrived so time again for some chores in my house. This time I wanted to install some lights, so I had to search the internet to all different luminaires in the Praxis, Gamma and Karwei.
Eventually I found 2 fixtures that I wanted, as seen on the cover photo. Of course I have to be able to operate the lamps smartly and that is why I chose to use IKEA TRÅDFRI lamps.
The ones I bought were GU10 for 5.59 euros each (with discount):
- These give 400 lume
- Are warm white
- Can be dimmed individually
- Zigbee protocol
To integrate the Ikea lamps in Home Assistant, I use the Conbee II stick in combination with the Deconz add-on. This stick can talk independently with multiple types of zigbee devices and therefore a good investment in my opinion. You can read here which devices are supported.
Installing the fixtures took a lot of patience and time. Especially if it appears that there were no plugs and screws in the box, so that we could make several trips to the construction market. But in the end I succeeded and I am satisfied with the end result. Unfortunately there was no time anymore to include the lights in Home Assistant, I will do that next time.
Marlene was sweet / busy this day putting the BEKVÄM together, a wooden step for the kitchen.
Of course I am not standing still and am already looking further what I would like to add to Home Assistant. My eye has currently fallen on some window / door sensors and the Broadlink RM Pro
